Current lifestyle has made the need of birth control or controlled birth a necessity. It is natural that a male or female becomes sexually active since the age 10 or older or even before. It is the body chemistry and a part of the human growth. In ancient time people used to get married at very younger ages. The life then was not as complex and as demanding as of today. Family members used to live together and individual lifestyle necessity was fewer. And the birth control technique was not known.

Now the lifestyle is different, complex, and independent. In urban societies children start independent life after high school. The independent life has made it possible to start sexual experience. But they are not ready for parenthood. They have to finish education, get job, and get established before they think of marriage. Most of the cases parents are not involved in partner selection. This is a norm in modern urban society. Living together without getting married is a norm in urban society. Thus before getting married and before getting established they take part in sexual activities. That is why birth control practice is a necessity.

These people also are sexually active and don't want pregnancy. As a whole birth control is a necessity.
